Lecture on compassion, morality, genocide and climate change

Paul Slovic (UO Psychology Dept) and Scott Slovic (U-Idaho English) will present work from their new book, "Numbers and Nerves: Addressing the Arithmetic of Compassion and the World’s Most Urgent Issues." The book identifies many large moral and environmental issues we face, the obstacles to our taking effect action, and the strategies that can help us do so.  This should be a fantastic talk.
